Q: Do I need to fill out an application to have my documents certified?
A: Yes, the application is required and can be found on our website here.
Q: What kind of payment is accepted?
A: Our office can accept Cash, Cashier’s Checks or Money Orders only.
Q: Can I send a Notarized document without the Circuit Court certification?
A: No. You must have the Circuit Court verify the Notary signature and stamp before you send your document to us. We do not keep the notary registrations on file in our office.
Q: Can I pay an additional fee for expedited service?
A: No, we cannot provide expedited services.
Q: How can I get an Apostille or Certification for my Marriage/Birth/Death Certificate?
A: Please follow the instructions on the Hawaii State Department of Health Vital Records Department here.
Q: Can you affix an apostille to an FBI background check?
A: No – an FBI background check is issued by the federal government and should receive an apostille from the U.S. Department of State Office of Authentications.
We can affix an apostille to a notarial copy of a document if it is notarized by a Notary Public, registered in Hawaii. You may need to check with the country you are traveling to in order to see if a notarized copy of this document would be considered acceptable.
